Hospitality veteran Robert Weakley has played a pioneering role in the emergence of the regulated cannabis market. Together with co-founder Mark Ainsworth and the management team, Mr. Weakley brought the vision for INDUS to the industry in 2014 by developing Altai as its first brand of edibles.
A 20-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Mr. Weakley experience in large-scale epicurean event planning led to the founding of annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine festival, as well as the Los Angeles Food & Wine Festival and Harvest: Farm to Table. Mr. Weakley has also established several award-winning restaurants, including Rose Rabbit Lie in Las Vegas, and Faith & Flower in Los Angeles. Mr. Weakley’s active local presence and involvement has made him an important participant in the Salinas-area business community.
As Vice President of Manufacturing, Mark Ainsworth oversees all manufacturing functions, including procurement and distribution. He brings to the company substantial experience in food manufacturing and distribution operations. In 2006, Mr. Ainsworth founded Pastry Smart, the first and only American Humane Certified and Organic bakery and confectionery manufacturer in the United States. Under his direction, Pastry Smart expanded into a 40,000 square foot state-of-the-art, energy-efficient production facility. Mr. Ainsworth has consulted with several Fortune 500 companies, and developed items at Pastry Smart that are still being sold by retailers such as Whole Foods Markets and Costco Wholesale. He has been a member of the American Culinary Federation since 2013.
Tina Maloney joins the INDUS Holding Company executive team with more than 25 years in executive leadership positions, with responsibilities that have included finance, tax, treasury, procurement, internal audit, information technology, and human resources. She has served as Chief Accounting Officer for Amyris, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMRS), a global industrial biotechnology and chemical company for the cosmetics, fragrances, bio-fuel and food industries. Ms. Maloney also served as Vice President Corporate Controller and Principal Accounting Officer of The Cooper Companies (NYSE: COO), a global medical device and IVF company; and in various senior leadership positions at Sola International (NYSE: SOL), a global manufacturer of eyeglass lenses.
Kelly McMillin began his law enforcement career in 1984 as a Deputy with the San Benito County Sheriff’s Department. In 1986, he transferred to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department, and then to the Salinas Police Department in 1988. Mr. McMillin has held the ranks of Officer, Corporal, Sergeant, Lieutenant, Commander and Deputy Chief. He was appointed Chief of Police on June 11, 2012. He has served as a board member of the California Cities Violence Prevention Network and a representative to the U.S. Department of Justice’s National Forum on Youth Violence Prevention; and was recognized as a “Champion of Change” for his work in youth violence prevention at the White House.
Steve Neil has been a finance and accounting professional for more than 35 years, with international public and private company industry experience in agriculture, consumer products, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, technology and public accounting. He has been involved in approximately 100 merger, acquisition and disposition transactions and has held positions in start-up, venture-backed companies as well as publicly held global entities. In addition to finance and accounting, Mr. Neil has held leadership positions in operations, sales, distribution and human resources.
A former Fortune 500 executive, Mark Russ drives new distribution and sales for INDUS Holding Company’s portfolio of brands. Previously, Mr. Russ served as Vice President and General Sales Manager of Constellation Brands' California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, and Hawaii operations. In addition to leading sales efforts, Mr. Russ was responsible for overseeing a direct staff of 55 employees, as well as 210 additional Constellation workers embedded within Southern Glazers Wine and Spirits.
Recognized for her ability form relationships across the industry, Kitty Mulcahy plays an integral role in the development of INDUS Holding Company’s sales portfolio. Ms. Mulcahy joined INDUS in 2015 following four years as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Carmel, California-based Social Media Kitt, a digital marketing agency specializing in social media, search engine optimization, mobile and reputation marketing. She served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Hyatt Vacation Marketing Corporation. Her 24-year tenure with the organization allowed her to develop industry-leading sales and marketing strategies, as well as a global network of professional contacts.
Alan Kropf leads all marketing initiatives for INDUS Holding Company’s award-winning portfolio of owned and licensed brands. Mr. Kropf joined INDUS following five years as Executive Director of Education for San Francisco-based Anchor Distilling Company, where he was responsible for managing the marketing team and overseeing the marketing and educational initiatives supporting the organization’s portfolio of more than 40 brands and 350 products. He is the former Founder, Publisher, Editor in Chief, and President of the acclaimed fine beverages publication Mutineer Magazine.
Collin Lam brings multiple years of industry experience, focused subject matter expertise, and a wealth of relationships and insight into the cannabis supply chain and retail dispensary channels. Mr. Lam drives the INDUS product portfolio strategy and extraction business as well as supports the sales leadership team with customer management and revenue development. Mr. Lam has been active in legal cannabis for three years, as a former leading dispensary operator and business development executive at venture-backed cannabis delivery platform Eaze. As one of the first Eaze employees, Mr. Lam was responsible for business development and established many of the partnerships that have launched Eaze to an industry-leading position in cannabis delivery in California.
As Vice President of Operations, Anand Menon is responsible for streamlining the extraction and packaging processes in compliance with state regulations and in line with the company’s growth model. Mr. Menon has a substantial background in business development, resource administration, project leadership, fiscal management and operational strategy. Mr. Menon has extensive experience in hospitality, having been responsible for the production, planning and operational execution of two world-class, multi-day food and wine festivals as well as four award-winning restaurants.
